Robertson Tabbed Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – After posting her 10th shutout of 2009 to break the Ohio State single season record, senior goalkeeper Lauren Robertson was named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week for the third time this season.
Robertson, the Buckeyes career shutout leader with 27, made four saves to preserve a 1-1 draw at Wisconsin Friday before shutting out Minnesota, 1-0, Sunday. The Mission Viejo, Calif. native ranks third in the Big Ten with a 0.58 goals-against average and is tops in shutouts.
The honor marked the eighth career Big Ten Player of the Week award for Robertson.
The Buckeyes, now 11-2-2 overall and 4-1-1 in the Big Ten, travel to Champaign to take in Illinois at 8 p.m. Thursday before hosting Purdue at 1 p.m. Sunday.
