Football: Pryor Wins U.S. Army All-American Award – Ohio State Buckeyes

Ohio State’s Terrelle Pryor has been named “U.S. Army All-American College Player of the Week” for his performance during Saturday’s 28-10 win over Troy. Pryor, who was MVP of the 2008 U.S. Army All-American Bowl, threw for four touchdowns and also ran 14 times for 66 yards. “The U.S. Army All-American College Player of the Week” honors the All-American alumni with the best weekly performance. There are currently more than 380 alumni playing NCAA football.
The ninth annual U.S. Army All-American Bowl takes place on Saturday, January 3, 2009 at 1:00 PM (EST) at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. The game will be televised live on NBC. Considered the premier All-American high school football game, this classic East vs. West match-up features the nation’s top 90 high school prep football players.
Since its inception, the U.S. Army All-American Bowl has been considered the nation’s premier All-American game by high school football players, coaches, and fans from across the country, as it’s the preeminent launching pad for America’s future college and NFL stars. Reggie Bush, Vince Young, Adrian Peterson and Brady Quinn all made their national debuts as U.S. Army All-Americans.
