2006 (Sophomore): Moved into the starting lineup in the Penn State game and started all nine games to end the season … named team’s offensive lineman of the week the week before vs. Cincinnati … offensive line allowed just 12 sacks in the regular season as quarterback Troy Smith won the Heisman Trophy.
About Rehring: Steve became ill before the Iowa game in 2005 and was hospitalized at the Ohio State Medical Center … he lost 30 pounds during his illness and went home to recover after he was released from the hospital … he likes to play basketball and racquetball and was a member of the track and field team as a junior (shot put) … Steve earned his bachelor’s degree in March in Family Resource Management … his favorite actor/actress is Jennifer Aniston.
