THE SUCCESS TEAM SELECTION PROCESS
We apologize but the page you are attempting to access is currently under construction. Please check back at a later date for updated information.
GO BUCKS! The Success Team has a specific set of criterion that must be met in order for individuals to be included in this team. Each counselor is given this rubric and will look at their new first quarter freshmen (NFQF) to determine if they meet this criterion. In order for an NFQF be part of the Success Team at least 2 of the criterion below must be met:
| Poor High School Performance | This includes low grades across the board, low GPA, personal knowledge of low achieving schools |
| Admissions Status | Faculty Committee |
| ACT/SAT Scores | 13 – 18 on ACT or the equivalent on the SAT |
| Qualified for Special Ed Services in high school – using a documented Individualize Education Plan (IEP) | If we know about this and it is something that they are going to be utilizing Office for Disability Services (ODS) |
For our non-NFQF student-athletes to be considered part of the success team, a conversation takes place between the learning specialist and the athletic academic counselor. In which:
Past academic performances are reviewed
– Transcripts from previous institutions
– Poor performance in all courses during a prior academic term
– Repeatedly receiving below average grades in the same types of courses
Any athletic and personal concerns are discussed
– Career ending injury
– Death in the family
– Unexpected pregnancy
– Long term illness
Any recently identified learning disability or suspected learning disability is also considered
