Men’s Hockey: Vote for Goebel to Earn a Spot in the 2008 Frozen Four Skills Challenge – Ohio State Buckeyes

Tommy Goebel, Ohio State men’s hockey senior forward, has been nominated for a spot in the 2008 Frozen Four Skills Challenge. Now through Thursday, Feb. 14, fans can vote for Goebel by logging on to http://www.ncaasports.com/icehockey/mens/fanpolls/.
Goebel was one of a group of 166 nominees that was pared down to 66. The challenge includes a West and an East team, with six skaters and two goalies from both the men’s and women’s game on each squad. The selection committee will take all voting into consideration prior to making its announcement of the final rosters mid-February.
Goebel leads the Buckeyes with 17 goals and 27 points this season. He recently reached the 100 point mark for his collegiate career, along with tallying his 50th collegiate goal.
The Frozen Four Skills Challenge will be held April 11 at the Pepsi Center in Denver and will highlight the Friday Night at the Frozen Four. The night will also include the presentation of the Hobey Baker Memorial Award, the Hockey Humanitarian Award and the announcement of the American Hockey Coaches Association All-American teams.
