Ohio State Player Post-Practice Quotes
Alex Boone, senior offensive linemen
On the Wisconsin game
“I thought it was my best game. We were all flying around and hitting people. It was a very physical game. Two of our guys got knocked out, literally. Everyone was in there banging around.”
On Purdue
“They are a really physical team. They played Penn State tough and obviously Penn State is a great team. We need to make sure we’re focused because Purdue is going to come in here and want to ruin our season.”
On Big Ten games
“Big Ten games are so physical. They make you feel more at home. I love the games. We just need to keep getting better and improve.”
Nader Abdallah, senior defensive linemen
On the defensive line
“We need to do a lot better job blocking and getting pressure n the quarterback. Coach Heacock has been getting after us in practice and I feel we are improving everyday.”
On the defense’s struggles
“It gets frustrating because we have so much potential. We are not getting down on ourselves or each other, though. Today we had a great practice. If we keep improving, we’ll get to the level we want to be at.”
Ross Homan, sophomore linebacker
On the Purdue quarterbacks
“They’re both great and we will prepare for both of them. We know regardless of who plays that we need to be on our A game.”
On coming back from an injury
“It’s great to be back out there. Anytime you can contribute is a good feeling. I only played three games last season so it was nice being able to play and improve.”
On the Wisconsin game
“We needed to stop the ball (on the last possession). Unfortunately, we weren’t able to do it. Luckily, the offense scored and saved us.”
Chris Wells, junior running back
On his injured toe
“I’m not worried about it because it is going to hurt but not get any worse. There’s going to be pain every week. I’ll just put up with it and play every game.”
On the Wisconsin game
“The team (Ohio State) came ready to play. They did great. I tip my hat to them (Wisconsin) because they were prepared. The offensive line opened up holes for me and I ran through them.”
On Purdue’s defense
“I try not to base anything on team performing against other teams. When teams play us, they are always at their best. Purdue will come in here ready to play.”
On the hard-hitting injuries in the Wisconsin game
“It can happen to anyone, but that is the risk when you play football. You just go back out there and keep going because you love the game.
