- Emma Laaksonen, a former women’s hockey All-American, was honored pregame. Her No. 3 was retired Saturday before the women’s hockey game vs. Wisconsin – link
- Lt. Col. Greg Gadson and Lt. Col. Chuck Schretzman were recognized before kickoff and joined the Ohio State and Purdue captains at midfield for the coin toss – link
- At halftime, former women’s basketball All-American Katie Smith was honored at midfield. In less than three months, Smith claimed her third Olympic gold medal and won her second WNBA championship – link
- Former Buckeye quarterback Greg Frey shared his Ohio Stadium Moment with the 105,000-plus in the ‘Shoe. He reflected on the Ohio State comeback upset win over LSU in 1988 – link
