Buckeyes have media day in Superdome then practice at New Orleans Saints facility
NEW ORLEANS It was media day Saturday at the Louisiana Superdome and the Buckeyes were in the spotlight for an hour before a two hour practice at the New Orleans Saints facility. LSU held its media day from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the Superdome, which will be the venue Monday night for the 2008 BCS National Championship Game.

The Buckeyes spent half of their practice Saturday outside at the Saints facility before moving back inside, where they practiced with “The 12th Man,” a crowd noise simulator attempting to duplicate the conditions Ohio State will experience Monday night in the Superdome.
When practice ended Saturday, the Buckeyes were about 51 hours away from their showdown with LSU for the national championship, matching the 51 days Ohio State will have waited to play since beating Michigan, 14-3, in Ann Arbor Nov. 17 to win the Big Ten title.
SUNDAY SCHEULE INCLUDES PRESS CONFERENCE AND BUCKEYE BASH
Sunday, Ohio State head coach Jim Tressel and LSU head coach Les Miles will be together with the national championship trophy for a photo opportunity at 1:25 p.m. at the Marriott media hotel. Tressel will then have a press conference at 1:30 p.m. and the Buckeyes will have a walk-through in the Superdome at 2:30 p.m.
The Buckeye Bash,’ the Ohio State alumni association’s official pep rally since 1969, will kick off at 3 p.m. in the New Orleans Convention Center.
