Buckeyes practice at Saints indoor facility Thursday; morning press conference features offense
NEW ORLEANS The Buckeyes held their first practice in New Orleans Thursday and despite being more than 900 miles south of Columbus, high winds and cold temperatures forced the team to go indoors at the New Orleans Saints practice facility.
Former Buckeye All-American Will Smith, who now plays for the Saints, stopped by practice to talk with the players and several members of the Columbus media.
A press conference Thursday morning featured Ohio State’s offense, followed by LSU’s defense. From Ohio State, offensive coordinator Jim Bollman, tackles Kirk Barton and Alex Boone, wide receivers Brian Hartline and Brian Robiskie and running back Beanie Wells answered questions for 45 minutes. See below for a link to the complete audio and transcript from that press conference.
Friday morning, it will be the OSU defense and LSU offense under the spotlight at the press conference.
If the weather cooperates, the Buckeyes will practice outside Friday at Tulane University in New Orleans, as originally scheduled.
