Ohio State Football Award Winners
Outstanding play against YoungstownState recognized
COLUMBUS, Ohio The OhioState football coaching staff has selected its weekly award winners for outstanding play in the 38-6 win over YoungstownState.
Receiver Brian Robiskie was selected as offensive player of the week; the junior had nine receptions for 153 yards, an average of 17 yards per catch.
Linebacker James Laurinaitis was the Buckeyes’ defensive player of the week, with seven tackles against YoungstownState.
Kicker Ryan Pretorius was the player of the week on the special units, connecting on 5-5 extra points and a 24-yard field goal. The junior also averaged 64 yards on seven kickoffs.
Scout team champions were: Offense: Joe Bauserman; Defense: Ryan Lukens; Special Units: Dan Herron. The “Attack Force” award went to defensive tackle Dexter Larimore.
OhioState (1-0) hosts Akron Saturday in a noon game at Ohio Stadium that will be televised live by the Big Ten Network.
