My Summer Favorites: Rachel Davis – Ohio State Buckeyes

Rachel Davis, a defenseman on the women’s hockey team, enters her sophomore season looking to build upon a strong freshman campaign. As a rookie, she appeared in all 37 games and gained experience on both the Buckeye power play and penalty kill units. Davis had a goal and four assists for five points while earning the team’s Most Valuable Freshman Award. A native of Horton, Mich., she also was named an OSU Scholar-Athlete.
Do you stay on campus in the summer? If so, what for? If not, where do you go?
Went home to Michigan for first half, back to OSU the second half for classes and work outs.
Are you working any internships or jobs this summer?
Definitely not…
What is your favorite thing about summer?
I can try to get enough color to last me through the hockey season.
My favorite childhood summer memory is …
Being on the lake with my family.
What is your favorite thing to do outdoors?
Everything. Cook out, tan, play sports, and I love to be on the water.
What was your worst summer job?
Babysitting
Favorite ice cream flavor: Chocolate or coffee
Favorite summer vacation spot: Port Bolivar, Texas
Favorite thing on the grill: Steak
Favorite piece of summer apparel (sandals, shorts, etc.): swimming suit
Lemonade or iced tea: Lemonade
Pool or ocean: They’re both awesome
Ice cream cone or popsicle: Ice cream!
Tag or hide-and-seek: Hide-and-seek… too much running for tag
