Fans Encouraged to Prepare for High Heat at Autograph Session, Open Practice Thursday – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The temperature is expected to be in the mid-90s Thursday when Ohio State fans will have the opportunity to obtain autographs from their favorite Buckeye football players along with Jim Tressel, Ohio State head coach, on the Ohio Stadium turf. Gates open at 5 p.m. Fans will be allowed on the field at 5:15 p.m. and the autograph session will begin at 6 p.m.
Fans are encouraged to bring water to the stadium with them. Concessions will be available. Water will be sold at the top of the ramps (Gates 31 and 32) leading down to the field and there will be vendors working at field level selling water. Water fountains are available in the concourse area as well. Courtesy cups of water also are available at the concourse level concession stands.
Fans driving to the autograph session and public practice Thursday at Ohio Stadium should exit from Rt. 315 at Lane Avenue and park in the lots at French Field House, St. John Arena, Riverbank, Ohio Stadium and the Polo Fields, according to Ohio State traffic and parking officials.
A scheduled show at the Jerome Schottenstein Center (Walking With The Dinosaurs) will utilize the parking around the facility this evening.
The City of Columbus is changing their mobile signage to inform arrivals to exit at Ackerman Road and park at the Buckeye Lots near the Schottenstein Center for the Walking With The Dinosaurs show.
The Facts:
Parking: Fans coming to the autograph session and night practice should park in the lots at French Field House, St. John Arena, Riverbank, Ohio Stadium and Polo Fields.
Ohio Stadium Gates open at 5 p.m.
Practice Seating: Fans who would like to watch the open practice will be allowed to choose a seat in Ohio Stadium Decks A and B. Practice will begin at about 8 p.m.
Autographs: The first 10,000 fans seeking autographs will be allowed on the field through Gates 32 (SE) and 31 (SW) at 5:15 p.m. The autograph session will be held from 6-7 p.m.
