The Ohio State University Ice Rink Skating Lessons
Group Lessons
• The Ohio State University Ice Rink has offered group lessons since 1961. The rink is a member of the U.S.Figure Skating Basic Skills Program and the Ice Skating Institute. The staff consists of highly qualified instructors who have competed, taught and performed with both amateur and professional skating organizations.

Children
• Tots (ages 3-6) and Basic 1 (beginners) through Freestyle (advanced) begin Sunday, March 20, 2011. The fee is $85 for seven, 30-minute classes. Students will receive a LESSON SKATE PASS that may be used at the rink’s public ice-skating sessions, for practice without charge.

Tots Hockey
• Tots Hockey (ages 3-6) will begin on Saturday, March 19, 2011. The fee for the TOTS class is $85 for seven, 30-minute classes. The required equipment for tots hockey is listed on the application. Students will receive a LESSON SKATE PASS that may be used at the rink’s public ice-skating sessions, for practice without charge.

Hockey
• All hockey classes meet on Saturday morning starting March 19, 2011. The fee for the children and adult lessons is $85 for seven 1-hour classes. The beginner hockey classes are for ages 6-15. The advanced hockey classes are for ages 15-Adult. The required equipment for the hockey class is listed on the application. Students will receive a LESSON SKATE PASS that may be used at the rink’s public ice-skating sennions, for skating practice without charge.

Figure Skating
• Figure Skating Freestyle Sessionsis open to anyone ages 15 and over. Sessions will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays starting Sept. 8 – Dec. 10th from 7:30am – 9:15am Space is limited to 25 skaters and quotas will be filled according to the date application is received.

Power Skating Clinic
• Spring power skating clinic is open to all those Ages 8-15. Classes will be held on Thursday nights (April, 16 – June, 11) from 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. The fee is $115 per/skater; for a total of 8 sessions of on ice instruction. Full gear is required. Classes will be limited and quotas will be filled according to the date application is received. Space is limited to 35 skaters and quotas will be filled according to the date application is received.

• Skate rental is $2 for practice times, per open skate.
• Classes subject to change due to Ohio State Football/Varsity Hockey conflicts.
• All classes subject to cancellation due to low enrollment.
