COLUMBUS, Ohio – A new synthetic playing surface (Field Turf) currently is being installed at Ohio Stadium. The old grass field was removed shortly after the 2007 Spring Game and donated to Columbus City Parks.
The process of laying out the new surface began the weekend of May 5-6. Numbers, lettering and hash marks are being stitched into the turf this week.
Upon completion, the new playing field will feature scarlet endzones with white lettering and a scarlet Block “O” at midfield.
