Ohio State Football Award Winners
Seniors saluted at team banquet
COLUMBUS, Ohio OhioState running back Chris “Beanie” Wells was voted 2007 team Most Valuable Player as announced at the Football Appreciation Banquet this afternoon.
Wells also received the Archie Griffin Award as outstanding offensive player, and the W.W. Hayes Award as outstanding player in the Michigan game. Linebacker James Laurinaitis received the Bill Willis Award as the outstanding defensive player.
Vernon Gholston received three awards: the W.W. Hayes for outstanding play vs. Michigan; the Jack Stephenson for top defensive lineman; and the Agonis for outstanding play vs. PennState.
