Kirk Herbstreit Speaks at Student Panel Discussion – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Kirk Herbstreit, an Ohio State quarterback from 1990-92 and college football analayst for ESPN’s GameDay and ABC broadcasts, spoke to OSU students at the Mathematics Tower on campus Tuesday. The former Buckeye team captain advised students about exploring careers in media.
Herbstreit was one of seven media members who addressed the collection of students. He stressed the importance of gaining “on-the-job” experience through interships and volunteering. Herbstreit also invoked the students to break out of comfort zones and take on new challenges each day.
After introductions, the panel answered questions from the audience and then broke into indivdual groups to spend more time with students.
