COLUMBUS, Ohio – Darrell Hazell, assistant head coach and wide receivers coach
On Tyson Gentry
“We got some great news today, Tyson moved one of his toes. It is great news. We are all very excited. He moved his second left toe and he just continues to be a great inspiration to all of us.”
On the Ohio State receivers
“There is nothing I like to hear more after a game than coaches telling me that we have attacking and aggressive receivers (blocking) in the running game.”
On Ohio State’s defensive backs
“We have some of the best cover guys. They get better every week against these receivers. We have and that makes our DB’s get better. When our receivers get stopped, they have to step up and that makes us get better on both sides of the ball.”
Paul Haynes, Ohio State safeties coach
On Michigan State quarterback Drew Stanton
“He is a lot like Troy (Smith). He can make plays with his legs and he can also beat you with his arm. I think this is the best offense we have played all season.”
On Michigan State’s offense
“They are well balanced with the run and pass. They have big play ability and Stanton will do whatever it takes to win.”
On Michigan State’s season
“All of their losses have only been by one or two plays. It is all about putting it together and it could come together at any time.”
