WCHA Women’s Final Five Tournament Seedings Set – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Following the final weekend of league action, the tournament bracket has been set for the 2004 Western Collegiate Hockey Association Women’s Final Five tournament. The tournament will be held Friday through Sunday at Ridder Arena in Minneapolis, Minn.
Ohio State claimed the fourth seed in the WCHA tournament by winning the tiebreaker of the best head-to-head record. OSU went 2-1-1 against Minnesota State this season. The Buckeyes and Mavericks will meet for the first time in WCHA postseason action, as MSU is making its first appearance in the tournament.
The tournament will begin Friday with first round action, as No. 4-seed Ohio State will face No. 5 seed Minnesota State at 5:05 p.m. EST. The quarterfinal game will be played at 2:05 p.m. EST and the semifinal game at 5:05 p.m. EST Saturday. The third place and championship games will take place Sunday at 2:05 p.m. EST and 5:05 p.m. EST, respectively.
