Defensive tackle Tim Anderson
On facing the Wisconsin running game
“Wisconsin has a great offense that is powerful and quick. They are looking to come after us but we will be ready.”
On playing the first away game
“It is going to be different playing in an atmosphere where the crowd is not cheering for you, but we have to remember that we are playing a football game and it doesn’t matter where you are – you are there to play.”
On resting during a bye week
“Having a bye week is critical for our team. It gives us an opportunity to regain your body strength as well as resting injuries. However, in the same sense, you want to go and play on Saturday.”
On playing at Wisconsin
“I like playing at Camp Randall. It is an energetic environment. There will be thousands of people screaming, I know it will be a fun time.”
Tight end Ben Hartsock
On the lack of offensive dominance so far this season
“It has been frustrating. Nobody wants to be the weak link or the slow wheel. It’s not a lack of talent or effort. It’s just that we’re not clicking. Hopefully now that guys like Branden Joe, Alex Stepanovich and Craig Krenzel are back we’ll start clicking.”
On this senior class’ motivation to keep winning
“It’s a strong testament to the character of this team and our resiliency. I think you have to look at how far this fifth-year senior class has come. Our freshman year here we came in thinking how big Ohio State football was, and we had a subpar year and didn’t make it to a bowl and sat home for Christmas. I think everybody realizes how fortunate we are right now.” On winning close games
“It’s not like we try to go out and make the game close. Everybody wants to come out and be more dominant, but when we win close games we find a way to get ourselves out of the corner we backed ourselves in to. We’ve lost close games before, too, like against Purdue a couple years ago they beat us on that long bomb at the end of the game.”
On the bye week this week
“We’ll continue to look for identity on offense and try to figure out how to get better. It won’t be a week where we’ll be game planning for another team, we’ll just concentrate on us.”
