Kickoff Times Set For Four Ohio State Home Football Games – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio: The kickoff times for four of Ohio State’s eight home football games in 2003 have been finalized and include three appearances on ABC television.
The Buckeyes’ season opener against Pac-10 Conference foe Washington will kickoff at 8:10 p.m. ET in Ohio Stadium and will be televised nationally by ABC. The Buckeyes and Huskies will be meeting for the 10th time in a rivalry that began in 1957 in Seattle. Ohio State leads the series, 6-3, including a 30-20 win in 1995, the last meeting between the two teams. Veteran announcer Keith Jackson is expected to handle the play-byplay duties for the contest, which will be just the sixth night game in Ohio Stadium history.
ABC also will carry the North Carolina State game Sept. 13. The Buckeyes and Wolfpack will kickoff at 12:10 p.m. ET in the first-ever meeting between the two schools. N.C. State is coming off an 11-3 season that included a 28-6 win over Notre Dame in the Gator Bowl. Ohio State’s Sept. 20 game with Bowling Green also will kickoff at 12:10 p.m. ET and will be televised by ESPN Plus. The Buckeyes and Falcons have met twice previously – in 1992 and 1997 – and OSU has won both contests.
ABC will televise the Iowa game on Oct. 18. That game will get underway at 3:36 p.m. ET and is the first meeting between the two teams, who shared last year’s Big Ten title at 8-0, since 2000. The Hawkeyes finished the 2003 campaign with an 11-2 record and played in the Orange Bowl.
Earlier, ABC announced it would televise the Nov. 22 Ohio State at Michigan game, the 100th meeting in the storied rivalry between the two schools. That game will kickoff at 12:10 p.m. ET.
