Tracey Bounds of the women’s lacrosse team scored a game-high four goals in OSU’s 17-3 victory at Davidson. Her first goal of the game, OSU’s fourth, was the game winner. Her fourth goal of the game was her 100th of her career for Ohio State. She becomes only the second OSU player to score 100 or more goals. The other is now assistant coach Megan Mirick (1999-02) who had 143 in her career. Bounds had five ground balls, one caused turnover and one draw control against the Wildcats. Bounds is third in scoring for OSU with 16 goals, five assists for 21 points. She has a team-high 50 ground balls.
Sophomore golfer Lindsay Knowlton posted a score of 216 (71-70-75) to place second on the individual leaderboard at the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic. She set three career-bests in the event: highest finish (2nd), lowest round (70) and lowest tournament score (216).
Amarachi Ukabam scored a career-best 49-7 to win the women’s shot put and add her second regional qualifying mark in the event at the Ohio State Relays. The freshman also claimed first in the women’s discus with another regional mark of 159-6. She was named Big Ten Athlete of the Week for her performance.
