25 Ohio State Athletes Receive Degrees at Autumn Commencement – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Twenty five Ohio State athletes received their bachelors degrees at winter commencement held in St. John Sunday, Dec. 14. Among the group was All-Big Ten football standout Tim Anderson (Sr., Clyde, Ohio) and former women’s basketball star and current WNBA player Courtney Coleman (1999-02).
Coleman, who earned a B.A. from the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences, was drafted by the Connecticut Sun as the 13th overall pick and first in the second round of the 2003 WNBA draft. During her career at Ohio State, Coleman was a three-time second team All-Big Team selection.
Anderson, a two-time All-Big Ten honoree, received a B.A. from the College of Humanities. Anderson tallied 47 tackles, along with 11 tackles-for-loss this season. He has started 35 games over his five year career at Ohio State.
Former Ohio State wrestling standout Mitchell Kapustka (1998-03) also is among the graduating class. He received his B.S. from the College of Engineering. Kapustka was recognized as an Academic All-Big Ten honoree his sophomore, junior and senior years.
Abhijeet Konduskar (Sr., Kolhapur, Maharashtra, India) a standout performer for the Ohio State rifle team, received a B.S. from the College of Engineering. Konduskar was named to both the WIRC conference and the National Rifle Association Collegiate All-American team his junior year.
Also included in the group is former swimming standout Nick Rees (1999-03), who earned a B.S. from the College of Human Ecology. Rees, was one of Ohio State’s biggest contributors throughout his career and holds the third fastest time in the butterfly at Ohio State. In 2003 Rees qualified for the U.S. Nationals in butterfly.
