Women’s Ice Hockey Wing Mulvaney Receives Offensive Player of the Week – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Western Collegiate Hockey Association named Ohio State women’s ice hockey player Meaghan Mulvaney (Jr., Sylvania, Ohio) WCHA Offensive Player of the Week for leading the team with six goals last weekend against Toronto.
The only Ohio native on the Buckeye squad posted an excellent performance as she recorded back-to-back hat tricks to lead the Buckeyes to a sweep over Toronto in exhibition action Oct. 10 and 11.
The junior captain scored one even-strength and two power-play goals in the 5-2 victory Oct. 10. Mulvaney duplicated her success Oct. 11, as she tallied one power-play and two even-strength goals. Mulvaney tallied 13 shots and ended the weekend with a +4 rating.
Mulvaney finished the 2002-03 season fifth on the squad with 18 points (7-11) and was first with a +14 rating. She also had four multiple-point games.
