Chris Gamble provided the late defensive heroics when herecorded his team leading fourth interception of the season onPurdue’s last drive with 45 seconds remaining in the fourthquarter. Receiver Mike Jenkins provided the offensive heroics on afourth-and-one play with 1:36 remaining in the fourth quarter witha 37-yard TD reception to give the Buckeyes a 10-6 advantage.Jenkins also blocked a Purdue punt with 2:53 remaining in the thirdquarter. It was his first career blocked kick. Donnie Nickeyblocked a Minnesota punt last week. Ohio State has blocked fourpunts this season. Dustin Fox’ second interception of the seasonand third of his career came at the 10:24 mark of the first quarterin the Purdue endzone. Both of Fox’ interceptions (the other vs.Texas Tech) this year stopped drives after endzone INTs.
