COLUMBUS, Ohio – Three members of the Ohio State football team — quarterback Craig Krenzel, tight end Ben Hartsock and cornerback Dustin Fox — have been named to the Verizon All-District IV Academic Team. The district team is made up of student-athletes from Alabama, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and Tennessee.
In order to be eligible for the ballot, a student-athlete must be a starter or key reserve and have a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or better. Team members are selected by a vote of the members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSida) within the district.
The District IV selections will now be part of the national ballot for the Verizon Academic All-America Football Team, which will be announced Dec. 2.
