Lightning forced the Buckeyes inside for the conclusion of Monday’s practice.
Following the two-hour session, OSU coach Jim Tressel confirmed that offensive tackle Ivan Douglas had been hopitalized at University Hospitals because of a blood clot in his lung. Douglas’ release date is uncertain.
“He is receiving the very best in medical care,” said Tressel. “The important thing now is getting him healthy.”
The Buckeyes will also be without the services of starting center LeCharles Bentley for the next few days. Bentley injured his right knee in Saturday’s practice. The injury is not thought to be serious.
