%^$Teaching continued to be the order of the day at Tuesday’s spring football practice.%^$
%^$”These first three days are absolutely critical in terms of us teaching and the players learning our new terminology,” said first-year Ohio State coach Jim Tressel. “When we put the pads on Saturday, we want to have the terminology and the formations down. I like what I have seen the first two days. Our players are working very hard and are eager to learn.”%^$
%^$Queried about the quarterback situation, Tressel replied, “I like all four of them. Steve (Bellisari) clearly has the most experience, but the other three (sophomores Craig Krenzel and Scott McMullen and freshman Rick McFadden) are working hard and are talented players. We will be able to tell a lot more once we put the pads on and are able to do some live scrimmaging.”%^$
%^$At running back, Jesse Kline and Sammy Maldonado have flip-flopped, with Kline moving from fullback to tailback and Maldonado from tailback to fullback.%^$
%^$”Spring is a good time to do some experimenting,” said running backs coach Tim Spencer. “Both of those guys can play either position. Nothing is etched in stone right now.”%^$
%^$The Buckeyes resume practice on Friday and will practice in full pads for the first time on Saturday morning.%^$
%^$Practices are at the Woody Hayes Athletics Center and are open to the public.
