Men’s Basketball Player Honored by Conference – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio— Brian Brown (Brooklyn, NY/Bishop Loughlin) led the Buckeyes to back-to-back wins over ranked Big Ten foes last week to push Ohio State to 7-5 in the Big Ten, 16-8 overall. The Buckeyes have now won four of their last five games, including victories over No. 14 Iowa, No. 16 Wisconsin and then-No. 3 Michigan State (Jan. 27).
On the road against Iowa, Brown scored 18 second half points to lead the Buckeyes to a 69-68 victory. The OSU junior guard tallied a team-best 20 points for the game, hitting all four of his three-point attempts and shooting 58 percent from the field overall.
Brown continued his hot-shooting at home against Wisconsin, connecting on 71 percent of his shots (5-7) in a 63-58 triumph. He showcased his all-around game versus the Badgers, scoring 13 points while adding five assists and five rebounds.
For the week, Brown averaged 16.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists while shooting 63 percent (12-19) from the field and 83 percent (5-6) from three-point range. He currently leads the Buckeyes in scoring (14.9 ppg), assists (97) and steals (37).
