%^$Head Coach Jim Tressel
%^$On Saturday’s game against Wisconsin
%^$”We say it every week. Every Big Ten game is huge. Every team knows they better not lose more than one if they want to have a share of the championship. Wisconsin comes in here having a loss and they’re going to play great football like they always do when they come to the horseshoe. It’s a big test for us. The question is after a big game last week, can we step up and have an even better one?%^$
%^$”They will definitely play better than what they did last week. We need to play better than what we did last week. They’re going to try and run the ball but they throw it effectively as well. We’ll also try and run the ball. I think both teams know if you want to win that you have to be able to throw it effectively as well. On defense they’ll line a lot of people up to stop the run and dare you to throw the football.”%^$
%^$Coach Joe Daniels
%^$On the offensive strategy
%^$”We need to see consistency on the field from the quarterbacks and the receivers on Saturday. That’s not to say that we weren’t consistent last week. That was just the situation of the game and how it unfolded. It just got to the point that we wanted to stay with what was working.”%^$
%^$On Wisconsin’s defense
%^$”I’m a little familiar with these guys because I’ve played them the last two years down in Cincinnati. They’re a very well coached defense. Whatever they do they do well. They’ve got a good defensive line and a good linebacking group. They’re very mature and are sound in what they do.”%^$
%^$Coach Mark Snyder
%^$On the Buckeye defense
%^$”We just have to keep the kids playing hard. They’re playing very emotional right now and our job is to keep up that emotion. They’re always ready to go.%^$
%^$”They haven’t changed. They have those big offensive linemen. They had a hard loss last week so you know Barry (Alvarez) is going to have them ready to play. Wisconsin is going to try and get that respect back on Saturday.”
