Ohio State defensive tackle Ryan Pickett (Jr., Zephyrhills, Fla.) underwent shoulder surgery on his left shoulder Wednesday morning and will miss the remainder of spring practice. The surgery was performed by Dr. Chris Kaeding at University Hospitals.
OSU Head Trainer Bill Davis said he expects Pickett to begin rehab in about two weeks.
“The surgery was a success and we anticipate Ryan being back at full strength by the time we start fall practice,” Davis said.
The 6-3, 290-pound Pickett started 12 games last year and had 48 tackles, including nine tackles for loss. He also started nine games in 1998 as a freshman.
