COLUMBUS, Ohio – Head football coach John Cooper announced today that B.J. Barre (Toledo, Ohio/Whitmer High School) has signed a national letter of intent to attend The Ohio State University and play football next fall. He becomes the 25th member of the 2000 recruiting class.
Barre is rated as the No. 2 cornerback in the state by Bill Kurelic. He is the No. 17 prospect and the No. 2 cornerback in the Midwest as rated by SuperPrep. As a senior, he rushed for 1,245 yards and was a Division I special-mention all-Ohio selection.
