COLUMBUS, Ohio – Today, Ohio State football player Nate Clements (So., Shaker Heights, Ohio) underwent successful surgery on his left foot to repair a fracture of the fifth metatarsal. The surgery was performed by Dr. Chris Kaeding at The Ohio State University Hospitals.
Bill Davis, Ohio State head athletic trainer, said the operation went without any complications and the current prognosis is for a full recovery.
Clements, who fractured the bone on Wednesday playing in a pickup basketball game, started all 12 games at cornerback last year and finished second on the team with 90 tackles. He was an honorable-mention all-Big Ten selection.
