The Ohio State women’s soccer team out-shot and out-scored the Wright State Raiders 3-0 in their season opener at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium.In a physical first half, the Buckeyes tried to grab several scoring opportunities but found themselves short of a goal. %^$ %^$ In the second half, Lindsey Eckles (Fr., Hilliard, Ohio) connected with a pass from Katy Traeger (Sr., Littleton, Colo.) for her first career goal as a Buckeye. The Buckeye’s second goal came from Traeger with a pass from Emily Thorpe (So., Cincinnati, Ohio) in the 64th minute. %^$Katie Martorella (Sr., Englewood, Colo.) sunk OSU’s third goal off of penalty kick 12 yards in front of the net.%^$ The Buckeyes travel to New York to compete against Syracuse Sept. 1 at 7 p.m. %^$
