%^$West Virginia week is here%^$The Buckeyes enjoyed their second consecutive day of only one practice today – a 3:30 affair – but the one-and-done practice came with a grueling conditioning workout at the end of the session. The Buckeyes will practice once this weekend – at 9 a.m. Saturday morning – and then they will have the rest of the weekend off before reporting back to campus Sunday evening for the start of West Virginia game week. %^$

%^$David Priestley will transfer%^$Red-shirt freshman quarterback David Priestley has asked for and received a release from his scholarship commitment to Ohio State University and he will transfer, according to head coach John Cooper. It is believed that the Los Alamitos, Calif., native will look into attending the University of Pittsburgh, where former OSU quarterbacks coach Walt Harris is beginning his second year as head coach. His departure leaves the competition for third-string quarterback – behind seniors Joe Germaine and Mark Garcia – to red-shirt freshman Austin Moherman and true freshman Steve Bellisari. %^$

%^$John Cooper “Quotes”%^$On the team’s talk: “We don’t talk much about being No. 1. We talk about work ethic and what you can do to control the outcome of a ball game. We don’t talk to the players a whole lot about being No. 1 or No. 10 or even about being unranked. We’re talking about ‘let’s have a great practice today.’ We’re playing what we think is in outstanding football team in West Virginia.”%^$
