New CSN Broadcasts 30 OSU Athletic Events in ’98-’99 – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Coaxial Communications announced today plans to televise up to 30 Ohio State University Athletic events throughout the 1998-1999 school year. Coaxial has reached an agreement with Time Warner Communications to form the Columbus Sports Network (CSN) and will provide exclusive coverage of 30 tape delayed Ohio State athletic events annually. The sports to be televised will include ice hockey, women’s volleyball, women’s basketball and baseball. The package will include six women’s volleyball games, eight ice hockey games, eight women’s basketball games and eight baseball games as well as the annual Scarlet and Gray Spring Football game. Additional events will be announced.
The Columbus Channel guide, a publication of CSN, will provide specific broadcast times.
