1998 Spring Football Notes #5 – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State Buckeyes conclude their 15 days of spring drills with their annual Scarlet-and-Gray game Saturday afternoon at Ohio Stadium. Kickoff is set for 1:30 p.m. Head coach John Cooper and his staff will divide the roster into two even teams on Wednesday.
WBNS 1460 AM will broadcast the game with Terry Smith, Jim Karsatos and Jim Lachey in the announcers booth and Mike Lanese and Ryan Miller roaming the sidlines.
Coaxial cablevision will televise the game to kick off its Central Ohio Sport! Television package (Ch. 36 on Coaxial; Chs. 24 and 57 on Warner) with Randy Rinehart and Greg Frey in the broadcast booth and Jeff Logan providing sideline commentary. Over the coming year, Central Ohio Sport! Television will air approximately 80 sporting events, including 31 Ohio State events. In addition to the spring game, Central Ohio Sport! Television will broadcast a total of 30 OSU women’s basketball, women’s volleyball, ice hockey and baseball games.
Prior to the game, the Ohio State Department of Athletics will hold its second spring merchandise sale in French Field House. The sale will begin at 9 a.m. Among the items that fans can purchase are official Nike football jerseys, tee-shirts, sweatshirts, denim shirts, jackets and hats at discounted prices, as well as past editions of Ohio State football, men
