COLUMBUS, Ohio — Starting Forward Michaela Moua (Mi•Kay•la Moo•uh), a 5-11 senior from Vantaa, Finland, was dismissed today as a member of the 1999-2000 Ohio State women’s basketball team.
“In the best interest of the future of the program, we are going to continue this season without Michaela Moua,” Coach Beth Burns said.
Moua, the lone senior on the squad, started in all 15 games this season, averaging a team-leading 10.7 points and 4.7 rebounds per game. A two-time OSU Scholar-Athlete, Moua will remain in Columbus where she will continue her academic studies at The Ohio State University.
Ohio State, 9-6 overall, 2-3 Big Ten, will resume conference play Thursday, Jan. 20 at Penn State.
