COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Big Ten Conference announced its weekly awards on Monday. Senior forward Rebeka Mikulášiková was named to the honor roll for the second time in her career and this season after leading Ohio State to a pair of 100-point games against Wright State and North Alabama last week.
Mikulášiková averaged 20.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and three assists per game, shooting 16-of-21 (.762) from the floor and 3-of-5 (.600) from long range, despite playing less than 20 mpg. She began the week with a game-leading 18 points, team-leading six rebounds and tied her career-highs in assists (3) and steals (2) against Wright State. Mikulášiková shot 6-of-7 (.857) from the floor against the Raiders, making her lone three-point attempt as well. Against North Alabama, Mikulášiková tied her career-high 23 points (set earlier this season) to once again lead the game’s offense, shooting 10-of-14 (.714). She again tied her career-high three assists.
This season, Mikulášiková has scored in double figures in each of the Buckeyes’ six games and is averaging 17.7 ppg to lead the team. She’s shooting 62.7 percent from the floor and 42.9 percent from long range this season.
