Queralt leads Scarlet with five points

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State field hockey team divided into two teams to simulate in-game action Friday with Scarlet posting a 5-0 victory over Gray at North Turf Field.

Incoming freshman Berta Queralt led Scarlet with two goals and an assist for five points while classmate Danica Deckard posted four points on two goals and sophomore Maria Briones got on the board with a goal. Aisling Coyle also earned a point with an assist.

Ali Ristas played all 70 minutes in goal for Scarlet and Lindsay Quintiliani did the same for Gray, each recording eight saves in the scrimmage.

With 15 more days to gel before the season opener vs. James Madison Aug. 29, the Buckeyes will continue to forge ahead.
