COLUMBUS, Ohio – Lexi Edwards concluded her impressive 2022 campaign for the Ohio State women’s gymnastics team Thursday evening at the NCAA Women’s Gymnastics Championship semifinals at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas. She earned a 9.8625 score on vault to place 15th overall.

The Richmond, Va. native’s score is her third-best score of the season. She entered the meet having earned a career-best 9.950 on vault at the Auburn Regional.

Edwards was one of the Buckeyes’ top performers this year, winning a team-high eight event titles. She won four vault titles, three floor titles and an uneven bars crown. The junior owns Ohio State’s season-best score on vault (9.950) and shares the second-best team score on floor and uneven bars (9.925).

This season, Edwards hit career bests on each of the three events she competed for the Buckeyes – vault (9.950), uneven bars (9.925) and floor (9.925). She hit scores of 9.900 or higher 11 times this season and in eight meets for Ohio State.
