Complete 2021 All-Big Ten Team and Individual Honors

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Three members of the Ohio State women’s soccer team have earned All-Big Ten accolades for their play this season. Senior Kayla Fischer and freshman Kailyn Dudukovich were named to the third team while Dudukovich and Sydney Jones claimed All-Freshman Team honors.

Fischer earns All-Big Ten acclaim for the second consecutive season as she was a first team honoree last season. This year, she leads the team with 18 points and her six goals are the most for her in a single season. The Kent, Ohio native also has a career-high six assists. She is third in the conference in shots per game and has 234 shot attempts in her career, which is sixth-most in program history.

Dudukovich has a team-leading seven goals which is the most by any Big Ten freshman. She has produced points in six of the 10 Big Ten matches, helping the Buckeyes push into the Big Ten Tournament. The West Chester, Ohio native had two goals vs. Minnesota on Sept. 23 and was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week. She also has three assists on the year.

Jones has started all 18 matches and has been on the field for every minute this season. Due to injuries early in the year, Jones was asked to move from her natural outside defender position to an inside spot and she did so flawlessly. She has helped the defense to three shutouts on the year. In a must-win match at Northwestern on Oct. 24, Jones took a penalty kick in the 81st minute and calmly knocked it in for her first collegiate goal. It also proved to be the game-winner and helped the Buckeyes secure a spot in the Big Ten Tournament.

Dudukovich and Jones are two of 10 Buckeyes to earn All-Freshman Team honors over the last five seasons.

The Buckeyes will open the Big Ten Tournament this Sunday at Purdue. First touch is at 3 p.m. and the match will be televised on BTN.
