Coleman, Lewis Named to Women’s Basketball All-Big Ten Teams – Ohio State Buckeyes

%^$ COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State women’s basketball players Courtney Coleman (So., Cincinnati, Ohio) and Jamie Lewis (Sr., Oak Hill, Ohio) have been named to the media and coaches All-Big Ten Second teams, the league office announced today.%^$
%^$ Lewis has not missed a game on the 2000-01 schedule, averaging 39 minutes per outing in the Big Ten campaign. She was crowned Ohio State’s career assists leader this season, touting 595, including an OSU single-season record 209. Her 11.3 ppg rank second on the team. Sixth on the all-time OSU steals ledger, Lewis enters the postseason with 188 career steals – three shy of the Top five in school history.%^$
%^$ Coleman’s play has been dominating inside, as she ranks fourth in Big Ten scoring (16.0 ppg) and third in rebounds (8.2 rpg). She has been one of the country’s leaders in field goal percentage, shooting 58 percent from the floor, which ranks 12th nationally. Coleman has produced double-figure scoring in 12-of-16 Big Ten games, including a career-high 26 vs. Iowa (Jan. 17).%^$
%^$ The Buckeyes begin postseason play Thursday at 4 p.m. at the Big Ten Tournament in Grand Rapids, Mich. The eighth-seeded Buckeyes take on No. 9 seed Michigan State.%^$
