COLUMBUS, Ohio – Rising junior Charlie Clark and rising senior Amy Fulmer have earned spots on USA Swimming’s 2022 Duel in the Pool roster, the organization announced Tuesday.
Clark returns to international competition after making his World Championship debut last month. The Sandusky, Ohio native competed in three events in Budapest, finishing 10th in the 1500 free prelims and 12th in the 800 free prelims. He also helped the United States to a seventh-place finish in 4×1500 open water race.
Fulmer’s roster spot marks her first nod to represent Team USA. At the Phillips 66 International Team Trials in April, she raced personal best times in four events while earning her highest finish of eighth place in the 100 back (1:00.48). She most recently won five races at the Cleveland Speedo Sectionals.
Duel in the Pool is an international meet between the United States team and Australia that will be held from Aug. 19-21 in Sydney, Australia. Started in 2003, the competition returns to action this year for the first time since 2015.
