COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 11 Ohio State women’s volleyball team will make its way to No. 4 Nebraska for a pair of matches this weekend. Friday’s contest is set for 7 p.m. ET and can be streamed online with a BTN+ subscription while Saturday’s match will air at 9 p.m. ET nationally on BTN.

LAST TIME OUT
The Buckeyes are off to a 12-0 start but had last weekend’s series against No. 5 Minnesota postponed. Ohio State last played on March 3 when it handled No. 10 Penn State in straight sets. Emily Londot extended her season-long streak of double-digit kills with 13. It was the first win in Rec Hall since Oct. 20, 2004 and the first time since 2001 that the Buckeyes had swept their season series with the Nittany Lions.
THIRD TIME’S A CHARM
Sophomore Mac Podraza garnered her third straight Big Ten Setter of the Week laurel on Monday. Podraza is the first Buckeye to earn setter of the week honors three times in a row after averaging 14.67 assists in Ohio State’s 3-0 win at Penn State. She tallied 44 assists, six digs and two blocks in the victory. Podraza has recorded at least 40 assists 10 times this season, including in seven straight matches.
SCOUTING NEBRASKA
Nebraska is 9-1 on the year and extended its win streak to three matches after defeating Illinois twice last weekend. Lexi Sun was named Big Ten Player of the Week for her efforts against the Illini. She averaged 5.17 kills per set while hitting .315. The Huskers top the Big Ten and rank 13th nationally behind 14.48 kills per set.
HISTORY WITH THE HUSKERS
Nebraska leads the all-time series, 15-7, dating back to 1978. Ohio State has lost the last five matchups, including consecutive straight-set decisions. When the team’s meet on Friday, it will be the first time both programs have been ranked while playing each other since Oct. 14, 2016.
NATIONAL RECOGNITION
Ohio State moved up eight spots to check in at No. 11 in the AVCA Division I Coaches Top-25 Poll. It is the third straight week the Buckeyes have been featured in the rankings.

Ohio State has sole possession of first place in the Big Ten with a 12-0 record. The Buckeyes currently sit at No. 2 in the league with 14.06 kills, 12.73 assists and a .267 hitting percentage. Ohio State has held its opponents to a .177 attacking clip, which ranks third, while its 14.45 digs comes in fourth. Individually, Mac Podraza’s 10.63 assists (3rd), Rylee Rader’s .407 hitting rate (5th), Kylie Murr’s 3.96 digs (6th), Emily Londot’s 3.80 kills (7th) and Lauren Witte’s .398 attacking clip (7th) ranks among the conference’s leaders.
