Buckeyes Tied for Fourth After Day Two in Palos Verdes

PALOS VERDES ESTATES, Calif. – Following the second round of the Therese Hession Regional Challenge at Palos Verdes Golf Club, the Buckeyes are tied for fourth place with a total team score of 578 (+10). Ohio State shot a 292 (+8) in round two.

Kary Hollenbaugh continues to lead the Buckeyes. She fired a 72 (+1) in round two and through 36 holes has a total score of 140 (-2). Hollenbaugh is tied for fifth place.

Caley McGinty is tied for 19th place after 36 holes of play. She carded a 73 (+2) in the second round for a two-round score of 145 (+3).

Lauren Peter shot 75 (+4) in the second round and has a total score of 146 (+4). She is tied for 22nd place.

Jillian Bourdage carded a 72 (+1) in round two and jumped up 16 spots in the standings to finish the day tied for 28th place. She has a 36-hole score of 147 (+5).

Aneka Seumanutafa is tied for 61st place; she shot 77 (+6) in round two and has an overall score of 153 (+11).

Faith Choi and Emily Hummer are competing as individuals. Choi shaved 11 strokes off her first-round score to fire a 70 (-1) in round two. She has an overall score of 151 (+9) and moved up 24 spots to finish the day tied for 55th place. Hummer shot 84 (+13) in the second round and has an overall score of 156 (+14). She is tied for 71st place.

The Buckeyes play the final round of the tournament on Tuesday, Feb. 14. The day begins with a shotgun start at 8:15 a.m. PST.
