COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio State field hockey team had a record-breaking afternoon at home today in a 11-0 win against Central Michigan. Three different players finished with multiple goals, paced by junior captain Nikki Trzaska, who had a hat trick with three goals while adding two assists. Freshman Mackenzie Allessie added two goals and two assists while senior Ester Cloter Alsina also had three goals. Whitney Harris, Maura Hunter and Jessica Hourihane all scored once.
The Buckeyes outshot the Chippewas 29-4. Nineteen of Ohio State’s shots were on goal. Sophomore goalkeeper Aaliyah Hernandez had all three of Ohio State’s shutouts thus far.
