STATE COLLEGE, Pa.— Life on the road in the Big Ten is not easy, but No. 4 Ohio State has enjoyed its trips as of late. The Buckeyes picked up a sixth-consecutive win on the road with a 92-82 victory at Penn State Thursday.

With the win, Ohio State improves to 18-4 overall and 12-4 in the conference. This also sets the table for a big showdown Sunday afternoon at Value City Arena with No. 3 Michigan.

Facing its largest deficit of the game, the Buckeyes sprung a 15-0 run over a nearly four-minute stretch in the second half to turn a seven-point hole into an eight-point lead. The Buckeyes never trailed the rest of the way.

Offensively, E.J. Liddell and Duane Washington Jr. led the way with efficient efforts. Liddell had 23 points on 8-of-12 shooting and was also 5-of-7 from the line. Washington finished with 21 points on 6-of-9 shooting and 4-of-5 from long range.

CJ Walker had 13 points and a team-high seven assists while Musa Jallow also contributed impactful minutes, finishing with nine points and three rebounds.

Another big key to the game was Ohio State’s shooting down the stretch. The Buckeyes made seven of their last nine field goals and 9-of-11 free throws over the game’s final 10 minutes. Conversely, Penn State made just five of its last 20 shots from the floor after a hot start.

Ohio State entered the break leading 47-43 in a back-and-forth affair. Both teams shot extremely well in the first 20 minutes. The Buckeyes made 17-of-26 (.654) while the Nittany Lions connected on 15-of-28 (.536).

Penn State started the second half hot again, making seven of its first 12 shots to build a 61-54 lead. But the 15-0 run coupled with the Buckeyes shooting down the stretch was enough for Ohio State to grind out another Big Ten road victory.

The Buckeyes will return home for the aforementioned meeting with No. 3 Michigan this Sunday at 1 p.m. CBS will have the coverage.
