Buckeyes Add a Pair of Grad Transfers

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State head coach Lori Walker-Hock announced on Wednesday the addition of a pair of graduate transfers for next season. Katherine Robinson and Olivia Sensky have each signed a Big Ten tender and plans to join the program this fall.

Robinson is a goalkeeper from Albuquerque, N.M. She played the last four seasons at Pitt, where she appeared in goal in 35 games. Robinson made 125 career saves and was part of eight shutouts. She appeared in 15 games as a senior in 2021 and was fourth in the conference in saves per game during ACC play at 4.07.

“Kat is an experienced goalkeeper with a great frame that equally handles crosses and navigates the net with a wide range of shot stopping ability,” said Walker-Hock. “Kat is well regarded as a seasoned leader who brings maturity and professionalism to her approach of training, physical preparation, and competition. Kat joins a new core of Buckeye keepers who will all compete for time and starting rights.”

Sensky is from nearby Powell, Ohio and played the last four seasons at Ohio University. She earned first team All-MAC honors as a senior this past season and has not missed a game over the last three years. She has tallied two goals and five assists over 70 career games and was part of 24 shutouts and 34 wins in her four years as a Bobcat.

“Olivia is a welcomed addition to our 4,5,6 player pool,” Walker-Hock said. “She was widely regarded by coaches in the MAC as one of the conference’s most imposing defenders. Olivia brings a passing range, organizational sense and experience that will blend well with our style of building from the back. Her size, strength in the air and tracking ability will leave a mark in the Big Ten as it has for four years in the MAC.”

Ohio State was 9-9-2 this past season and made the NCAA Tournament for the 15th time in program history.
