Ohio State Rowing 2025 Alumni Reunion

Hi Buckeyes,

We are quickly approaching our reunion at the end of the month! If you have fellow Buckeyes that you know that are not on the Facebook group please send them the link to get on the email list. If you have yet to RSVP please do so here.

This 3-day event will be packed with lots of family friendly activities and celebration of the athletes and staff who built this program. The cost is $80 per alumni. If you are bringing a spouse, partner, significant other, or a guest over the age of 15 that cost is $20 per guest while children under 15 are free. When you fill out the form there will be a box labeled ‘Payment Description’. In that box you must first write ‘Rowing Reunion’. After that, if you are bringing a guest please write their name and if they are an adult or child, example- ‘Guests- 1. Sally (Adult) 2. Mary (child)’, etc. Finally, in that box please write what events (Schumaker tour, stadium tour, happy hour, row, tailgate, football game, brunch) you and your guests will be attending so that we can prepare for numbers at each event.

Friday August 29^th

2:30pm The Schumaker Complex Tour with current student athletes
- Meet current athletes on the team while they give you a tour in small groups of The Schumaker Complex. The Schumaker Complex houses coaches’ offices, the erg room, locker room, the weight room, athletic training room, and student athlete dining.
- Our student athletes will meet you at the entrance closest to the soccer field/track.
- To park at this event you will need to download ParkMobile. The app icon for iPhones is a green square with an encircled white P. The cost for one hour is $3.00. The cost of parking for this event is at your expense. There is a sign at the entrance of the parking lot with instructions. Please note student athletes will be on campus and the lot may be busy and you will need to arrive with enough time to park, pay and get inside for your tour.
4:00pm Stadium Tour
The tour will include club level premium spaces, Varsity O, loge boxes, club seating, president's suite, AD's suite, press box, the recruiting locker room, the home locker room, and the field!
This is an amazing experience for anyone who is a huge Buckeye fan! This is all thanks to Syd Badgeley for offering her time for us!
Tour rules- No footballs, no food or drink. Pictures will be allowed in the most spaces except for the AD suite and the home locker room
Meet at the North Rotunda to begin the tour
Attendees should plan to park in the East Stadium lot facing Tuttle Garage. Payment for parking will be required through the ParkMobile app.
5:30-7:30pm Happy Hour
- Crooked Can in Hilliard. This brewery is in a great location with indoor and outdoor seating and is very family friendly. There are also multiple food options available in their food court. We will have a free raffle and door prizes. Make sure to sign in when you get there to be eligible for the prizes in ‘The Rail Yard’ in the back of the food court! There is also a splash pad right across the street if you want to bring your little Buckeyes to join in on the fun too. Make sure to check in when you arrive to be eligible for door prizes and a beverage! (food cost will be at your own expense)
- We will do drawings for door prizes every 30 minutes. One ticket for prize drawings per alumni in attendance. Guests will not be given a ticket but can pick up the prize at the time of the drawing.
- There is a large parking lot and street parking for Crooked Can with both being free of cost.

Saturday August 30^th

9:30am Tailgate and Watch Party Begins
- We will have a tailgate so everyone can spend time together before and/or during the game. Our tents will be set up near where the Drake Union used to be overlooking the Olentangy where many of us began our rowing careers! There will be rowing tents and oars set up so you can find it easily.
- We will provide some seating, but we ask if you are local to please bring a chair for you and some of your teammates
- Food will be catered, BYOB.

12:00pm Football Kickoff- The Ohio State Buckeyes vs the Texas Longhorns
- THE TICKET BLOCK IS SOLD OUT. We do not have the ability to get more tickets or assist you with problems, you will have to reach out to the ticket office directly.
- We are confirmed for getting an on-field recognition for the game! You do not have to be in the block to go on the field, but you must have a ticket to the event. We have been told we will get more details about exactly when this will occur closer to game time so keep an eye out for emails and Facebook posts the week leading into the game.

Sunday August 31^st

7:30 Alumni Row
- We are so excited to get you all to the boathouse and on the Scioto! Due to water code enforcement no boats are allowed on the river after 10:00am in the fall. We will provide coffee and Buckeye Donuts! We would like to launch by 7:45a.
- Only alumni will be allowed to row in the boats due to space and NCAA rules
- Spaces in the launches following along with the row will be for alumni and current and former staff.
- We will provide showers and towels for you to get ready for the brunch at the boathouse if you need it.
- Planning committee members will make the lineups
- DO NOT PARK IN THE GRASS. There are two parking lots in the park, one directly attached to the boathouse and one at the entrance of the park. Give yourself plenty of time to arrive before the launch time in case you have to park further away. Parking in both lots is free.

11:00am-2:00pm Celebration Brunch
- We will be holding our event in the East Ballroom at the Ohio Union.
- Brunch will be served buffet style in an open seating format.
- The dress attire for this event will be casual.
- We will have a photo backdrop set up, make sure to get pictures with your teammates and family!
- Parking for this event will be in the Ohio Union South Garage. We will pay for parking for this event. 1 parking voucher per alumni that RSVP’d.
