Competition Camp
Please note you are no longer able to register as an overnight camper for the Competition Camp. We still have a few spots available as a commuter camper.
Description
The competition camp allows kids to be trained like college wrestlers and compete in weekly matches. This camp allows individuals and teams to learn techniques from the best clinicians in the country and showcase their skills in a match setting. Coaches will work on different skills throughout the week and with daily matches, campers will be able to ask the coaches in real time to fix any technical issues they may have. This camp is open to individuals and teams.
Coaches
If you are a coach looking to be on site during camp with your team either as a commuter or overnight you will need to register online by clicking on the Register Now button at the top of this page. Otherwise coaches will not be permitted to attend camp. The cost for coaches for the Competition Camp is $300. Registration includes housing in a dorm for the duration of camp, all meals except for dinner on night 1, and being on the matt during instruction at camp.

Meals and Housing
Campers have the option to register as a resident (overnight) or commuter. Residents will be housed in the new North Campus dorms and will have meals provided. A boxed lunch including a sandwich, chips, & fruit will be provided upon arrival.
Dinner on Night 1 WILL NOT be provided to campers as check-in time and the first session overlaps with the hours the dining hall is open. All other meals will be provided.
Commuters will be responsible for transportation to and from camp. Commuters will have lunch provided, which is included in the cost of the camp.
Roomate Assignments
Roommate assignments will be released at check-in. Each camper may request one roommate on their camp application. Such roommate requests will only be approved if BOTH persons request each other as roommates. While we do our best to accommodate each camper's request, we do not guarantee that roommate requests will be granted. Please not that both roommates must be formally enrolled in the camp for such roommate requests to be considered. There will be two campers in a room. We are not able to accommodate any roommate requests submitted within 14 days of camp.

Technique Camp 1

Description
The Technique Camp will focus on the techniques and drills necessary to create a foundational understanding of the sport in all three positions. Athletes can expect to learn how to score takedowns, escape, ride, and pin like the best D1 wrestlers in the country. Intensive drilling and repetition combined with live situations will enable each camper to master their skills. Each camper will have the opportunity to test their skills and learn first-hand in live goes with current Buckeye wrestlers.

Otherwise coaches will not be permitted to attend camp. The cost for coaches to attend the Technique Camp is $250. Intensive Camp

Description
This four-day camp is intended for the advanced well-conditioned wrestler. In addition to sparring and live wrestling, campers will experience a demanding physical conditioning program. Athletes who attend this camp should expect to train four times a day. Campers should expect to go through rigorous early morning conditioning, late morning technique and hard drilling, mid-afternoon live wrestling, and late evening review sessions. Campers will be expected to bring their running shoes and plenty of changes of workout clothes. This camp is open to all experience levels, but we ask only those who are serious about being the BEST attend this camp. This intensive camp system has helped produce state and national champions across the country.

Description
This camp is designed for the novice wrestlers who want to experience all that the Ohio State Wrestling has to offer while spending quality time and bonding as parent and child. We will cover the basic skills needed for any beginner to improve their wrestling abilities including takedowns, escapes, and pinning combinations. This camp is designed for campers in grades K-6 and their parent or trusted adult. Parents will be encouraged to participate in the learning and teaching of techniques on the mat. One adult is welcome to bring more than one camper.

Enrollment
Full payment is required at the time of registration. You may register online by visiting OhioStateBuckeyes.com/camps-and-clinics. A 3% processing fee will be added to all online registrations. If registering by mail, please make checks payable to The Ohio State University. Any non-scholastic group of 5 or more that wishes to pay with one check for the entire group must do so ahead of time via mail. Camps are open to any and all entrants (limited only by number, age, and grade level). There will be no walk-ups permitted for this camp, all participants must register in advance.
Equipment
All campers are responsible for bringing their own wrestling equipment including shoes, knee pads, headgear, etc. No equipment will be provided to ANY camper. For overnight camps, be sure to bring plenty of changes of clothes for multi-session days. Day campers will not have access to showers in between sessions, be sure to bring wipes and plenty of changes of clothes.
Required Forms for Participation
The Parent Consent, Waiver & Release Form AND the Concussion Information Form are REQUIRED for all participants. These forms must be completed during online registrations. Campers will not be permitted to participate without these forms.
Ringworm consent form and skin checks will be required at check-in for all camps.
Confirmation
Once your registration is approved, you will be emailed with a confirmation of payment notice. One week prior to camp, you will also be sent an email with important camp details. This information will also be posted online at OhioStateBuckeyes.com/camps-and-clinics. Please check your email regularly as this is our primary method of communication with campers and their parents.
Refunds
A refund less a $100 administration fee will be issued for any cancellation received by at least 2 weeks prior to the start of each camp. The administration fee and the 3% online processing fee are not refundable for ANY reason.
Because we are required to guarantee the number of campers to prepare for camp, any cancellation received less than 2 weeks prior to the start of each session will not be eligible for any refund except in the case of injury, illness, or mandatory school event, in which case supporting documentation from a doctor or school is required.
A camp fee may not be transferred to any other Ohio State sports camp. A camp fee may not be transferred to any other camper. All cancellation notices must be received by the deadline above and submitted by mail, email, or fax – no phone calls or voicemails. All supporting documentation required for a refund to be approved and processed must be submitted within 10 days after the conclusion of the camp session. Refund requests must be submitted on the Refund Request Form available at OhioStateBuckeyes.com/camps-and-clinics. Campers who are injured while at camp but remain at camp will not be eligible for any refund.
Discounts
Discounts are not available through online registration. Discounts cannot be combined. If eligible for the team discount or sibling discount, you need to register online for the full amount and show proof of discount at camp check-in. We will then refund you the discounted amount within two weeks.
- Team Discount: If your team brings 10 or more wrestlers, they will receive $25 off per wrestler and email buckeyecamps@osu.edu with the relevant information.
- Sibling Discount: When one individual attends a 2025 Wrestling Summer Camp, one additional sibling from the same family will be eligible for a $25 discount for the same camp.
More Information
Camp will be headquartered at the Jennings Wrestling Facility at 684 Irving Schottenstein Dr, Columbus, OH 43210. The exact check-in location will be determined as camp gets closer.
There will be skin checks before camp, and there is a chance that your child may not be allowed full participation in the camp if they have a disqualifying rash. Athletic trainers will be provided.
