Training Camps
Ohio State's wrestling training camps are designed to help wrestlers of all levels improve their skills. Wrestlers will train at the state-of-the-art Jennings Family practice facility. Wrestlers will receive coaching from our elite coaching staff and wrestlers who have developed state and national champions across the country. Come and train with us this summer!
All camps require running shoes.
Buckeye Elite Camps
For Boys & Girls Entering Grades 5-12 in the fall of 2026
4 Day Camp 1: Wed, June 24th - Sat, June 27th
4 Day Camp 2: Sun, June 28th - Wed, July 1st
6 Day Camp: Mon, July 6th - Sat, July 11th
If you have a deep passion for wrestling and a determination to improve, the Ohio State Buckeye Elite Camp is for you. This training camp is intended for determined, committed, well-conditioned wrestlers who want to elevate their level of wrestling and gain a better understanding of the type of skills and training that will help them succeed. In addition to sparring and live wrestling, campers will experience a demanding physical conditioning program and an elite strength training program. Athletes who attend this camp should expect to train three times a day in areas that the Ohio State staff consider “critical positions”. Campers should expect to go through early morning conditioning, late morning technique and hard drilling, mid-afternoon live wrestling, and late evening review sessions.
Campers will be expected to bring their running shoes and plenty of changes of workout clothes. This camp is open to all experience levels, but we ask only those who are serious about being the BEST attend this camp. This training camp system has helped produce state and national champions across the country, and it will help you too. You will be training alongside the Ohio State wrestling team and learning from coaches with over one hundred years of experience. Come and train with us this summer!
Camp Information
4 Day Cost: $525 meals not included
Optional $100 meal plan which includes dinner on day 1, lunch and dinner on days 2 and 3, and lunch on day 4.

6 Day Cost: $660 meals not included
Optional $135 meal plan which includes dinner on day 1, lunch and dinner on days 2-5, and lunch on day 6.
Dates: Mon, July 6th - Sat, July 11th
Ages: Entering 5th grade and up in fall 2026
Location: Jennings Wrestling Facility/Covelli Center
Camp Staff: Campers will be coached by current Ohio State wrestlers and coaches
Tentative Schedule
Check-in: 1:00-2:00pm on the first day of each camp at the Jennings Wrestling Facility.
The first session begins at 2:15pm on the first day of each camp.
The last session ends at 11am on the last day of camp.
Strength Training
Ohio State wrestling campers will gain exposure to foundational speed, power, and strength training movements that improve a wrestler's ability to compete at an elite level. Specific techniques to improve positional strength, shot speed, power output, and safeguard against injury will be covered in hands-on detail. These strength and conditioning methodologies are in direct alignment with what each Ohio State wrestler experiences at the collegiate level.
Housing and Dining
Housing
These are day camps only and no overnight accommodations will be provided. You are responsible for booking your own hotel room for the duration of camp. We have an agreement with the Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Columbus OSU for the group rate of $122 per night with a max of 4 per room. This hotel is 0.5 miles from the Jennings Wrestling Facility. The hotel has free breakfast and a shuttle to provide transportation from the hotel to the wrestling facility. Meals are not provided unless you purchase the additional meal plan. We recommend eating breakfast at your hotel before the first session.

Additional Information
Discounts
If eligible for the team discount you need to register online for the full amount and then email buckeyecamps@osu.edu with the names of each player registered from your team. We will then refund you the discounted amount within two weeks. You can also mail in all registrations at once. Discounts cannot be combined, campers are only eligible for one discount.
- Early Bird Registration Discount: You will receive $25 off your registration if you register before June 1st, 2026.
- Team Discount: If your team registers 5 or more wrestlers, they will receive $35 off per camper. To receive the discount email buckeyecamps@osu.edu with the relevant information.
- Coaches/parents: Can attend camp for free with their team if they bring 5 or more campers.
Equipment
All campers are responsible for bringing their own wrestling equipment including shoes, knee pads, headgear, etc. No equipment will be provided to ANY camper. Campers will not have access to showers in between sessions, be sure to bring wipes and plenty of changes of clothes.
Parking
Campers are responsible for transportation to and from camp. There is hourly parking across from The Jennings Center or a short walk from the listed hotel.
Enrollment
Full payment is required at the time of registration. You may register online by visiting OhioStateBuckeyes.com/camps-and-clinics. A 3% processing fee will be added to all online registrations. If registering by mail, please make checks payable to The Ohio State University. Any non-scholastic group of 5 or more that wishes to pay with one check for the entire group must do so ahead of time via mail. Camps are open to any and all entrants (limited only by number, age, and grade level). There will be no walk-ups permitted for these camps, all participants must register in advance.
Confirmation
Once your registration is approved, you will be emailed with a confirmation of payment notice. One week prior to camp, you will also be sent an email with important camp details. This information will also be posted online at OhioStateBuckeyes.com/camps-and-clinics. Please check your email regularly as this is our primary method of communication with campers and their parents.
Parent & Athlete Camp
For Boys and Girls entering grades K-6 in the fall of 2026
Dates: Friday, July 10th - Sunday, July 12th
This camp is designed for the novice wrestlers who want to experience all that the Ohio State Wrestling has to offer while spending quality time and bonding as parent and child. We will cover the basic skills needed for any beginner to improve their wrestling abilities including takedowns, escapes, and pinning combinations. This camp is designed for campers in grades K-6 and their parent or trusted adult. Parents will be encouraged to participate in the learning and teaching of techniques on the mat. One adult is welcome to bring more than one camper. This is a day camp only and no overnight option is available.

For All Camps
Required Forms for Participation
The Parent Consent, Waiver & Release Form AND the Concussion Information Form are REQUIRED for all participants. These forms must be completed during online registrations. Campers will not be permitted to participate without these forms.
Ringworm consent form and skin checks will be required at check-in for all camps.
Refunds
A refund less a $100 administration fee will be issued for any cancellation received by at least 2 weeks prior to the start of each camp. The administration fee and the 3% online processing fee are not refundable for ANY reason.
Because we are required to guarantee the number of campers to prepare for camp, any cancellation received less than 2 weeks prior to the start of each session will not be eligible for any refund except in the case of injury, illness, or mandatory school event, in which case supporting documentation from a doctor or school is required.
A camp fee may not be transferred to any other Ohio State sports camp. A camp fee may not be transferred to any other camper. All cancellation notices must be received by the deadline above and submitted by mail, email, or fax – no phone calls or voicemails. All supporting documentation required for a refund to be approved and processed must be submitted within 10 days after the conclusion of the camp session. Refund requests must be submitted on the Refund Request Form available at OhioStateBuckeyes.com/camps-and-clinics. Campers who are injured while at camp but remain at camp will not be eligible for any refund.
More Information
Camp will be headquartered at the Jennings Wrestling Facility at 684 Irving Schottenstein Dr, Columbus, OH 43210.
There will be skin checks before camp, and there is a chance that your child may not be allowed full participation in the camp if they have a disqualifying rash. Athletic trainers will be provided.
